My Review for "Furimukanaide" & "Koi no Gamble"

*Firstly, I'd like to stress that this is ONLY my opinion.
I might be harsh on K2C but that's because I am NOT a blinded fan who praise everything what they do*

I got my copies of Kome Kome Club's 2 latest singles,
"Furimukanaide" and "Ko ino Gamble"

My honest opinion after listening to these singles is
"What the...!?!? I DON'T LIKE 'EM!!"

Because!! They are just not "single-worthy".
Lyrics are pretty much boring, melodies are not so Kome Kome-ish.
And what is goin' on with "Hard Shake Hip!"??
That sounds terrible...


Well, Let's look on the bright side.
Those songs MIGHT sound cool when they perform in concerts.

"Shake Hip Hop!", a remix of K2C hit "Shake Hip!" by DJ U-ICHI from Home Made Kazoku was AWESOME.
He did really good job on that.
It's so "Auto Tune"-ed and really funky. He brought an urbanness to "Koi no Gamble" single.
(BTW, to me it's R&B rather Hip Hop, lol)

I still respect them and have full of love for them.
So, don't get me wrong!!

K2C's latest single was released on Sep 30th.

It contains 2 songs including a new version of their '80s Hit, "Shake Hip".

Kome Kome Club was on Hey Hey Hey

K2C was on Japanese music TV show, Hey Hey Hey as surprising guest.

They played "Kimiga Irudakede" and "Shake Hip!"

For "Shake Hip!", Kohtaro joined the gang and danced as a dancer!!

Behind the Scene of Making New Album

Summary for 080809 Internet Live Show

米米CLUB did a talk show called "KOME BIZ presents KOOL櫃" on August 8th,
and it was broadcasted live to the world.

Here is quick Summary of the show.

1. Special Guest and Surprising Announcement.
Like I posted in earlier entry, Kohtaro who was a dancer of K2C '93-'97, is back for this upcoming tour.

Even though he danced little in last couple of tours as a guest,
but this time he goes on tours with K2C for the first time in these 13 years!!


2. History video of Annual K2C events in the past 3 years.


3. "MAKING OF" VIDEO from NEW SINGLE/ALBUM RECORDING SESSION!!
It pretty much was a footage of K2C goofing around in the recording studio where was filled with lots of laughter!!

4. Tokuyan's Backstage Interview from Minako's solo live show (yet Kinchan and Mari were her support musicians)

5. "Senryu" Contest

They asked the fans to write a senryu, a Japanese short poetry,
and chose the best piece of senryu.


The show was so hilarious. They were continuously laughing and goofing.
They are very excited for the upcoming tour and seems like we can expect some nice shows!!

New Release!!

Kome Kome Club will release 2 SINGLES and 1 ALBUM soon.


1st single aka Ichi Rice(First Rice), "ふりむかないで"(Furimukanaide, Please Don't Turn Back)
will be out Sep 30th.

2nd Single aka Ni Rice(Second Rice) is called "恋のギャンブル"(Koi no Gamble, Gamble of Love) and be released on Oct 7th.

AND!! The Album "SUNRICE" aka San Rice(Third Rice)
will be released on Oct 14th!!!!!!

OMFG!! Kohtaro is Back!!

Yesterday, K2C did an Internet live show on Sony Website.
And they announced that ex "Special Dancer" Kohtaro is back for upcoming K2C tour!!
※I guess he's back for just as a back-up dancer, not as an official member.

WOW!! I have never ever dreamed about his coming back.
'Cuz it has been said that he and CSI "collided" in the past...


The live show was so much of fun!!
With Kohtaro, it looked like "Good Old K2C" was back :)

Happy Annual K2C day!!

It was Kome Kome Club's annual anniversary day yesterday.

For this year's anniversary, they did a live talk show on Internet.
And dropped SO MANY NEWS!!!!!!!!

I'll update later but here are the things.

1. Kohtaro is back to K2C.
2. They are releasing 2 SINGLES AND AN ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!

1st single, "ふりむかないで"(Furimukanaide, Please Don't Turn Back) will be out Sep 30th.

2nd Single is called "恋のギャンブル"(Koi no Gamble, Gamble of Love) and be released on Oct 7th.

Title for New Album??

According to several websites like BARKS and Natalie,
米米CLUB is planning to call their new album "米米米 SUNRICE".
(Well, of course it might get chenged... )

You know, three is "San" in Japanese, and it's punning with an English word "SUN"
and there are 3 "米"s which means "Rice" in English,
So, it's called SUN-RICE

As you are aware, it's the same name as their upcoming tour.

They are planning to release a NEW ALBUM in this Autumn!!
So, get ready for the "SUNRICE"

Kome Kome Club is gonna kick off their concert tour from October!!

This time around, they'll be performing in 10 cities and 2 nights in each city,
which means 20 live shows in total!!
